The following is a description of the Valley Ridge Dental Centre team members and their respective responsibilities within the office.

 

The Dentist

 

Owner and founder of the Valley Ridge Dental Centre, Dr. Mylène Boridy graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Montreal in 1991. After five years in private practice in busy downtown Montreal, Dr. Boridy developed a keen interest in advanced restorative and cosmetic procedures and undertook additional post-graduate training in 1996 at the University of British Columbia. At the completion of her training, Dr. Boridy returned to private practice while maintaining a position as a part-time clinical professor at UBC and Vancouver General Hospital.

 

Dr. Boridy moved to Calgary in September 2000 to be closer to her family. It is with great enthusiasm that, in November 2000, she founded Valley Ridge Dental Centre, a general practice with a strong focus in cosmetic and restorative dentistry.

 

Dr. Boridy is an avid learner who keeps abreast of the latest developments in the dental field by attending multiple continuing education courses to constantly refine her skills and better care for her patients.

 

The Registered Dental Hygienists

 

Under the care of our hygienists and through their commitment to excellence, you will be helped to develop the skills necessary to achieve optimal gum tissue health. They are the fundamental backbone of our preventive maintenance program and are therefore an indispensable resource for you, the patient.

 

The Registered Dental Assistants

 

The dental assistants are the core of the technical operations of our clinic. Not only will you see them assisting during dental procedures, but they are the technical experts trained in radiography, advanced sterilization procedures, materials management and in-house lab applications in order to optimize patient service and flow.

 

The Administrative Personnel

 

Our administrative personnel is always available to take care of all your administrative needs, and is the hub of operations and of all communications in our practice. With a combination of skill and the use of high-tech data management systems, the administrative team handles an amazing amount of information on your behalf, in a very capable and professional manner.
